Remove Spawn Protection in OceanBlock

I tried playing OceanBlock with my kids. I start the game single player then open to LAN. But only I can modify (break or place blocks) anything on the island. I believe I have narrowed this down to spawn protection. I tried to /OP everyone but apparently that command has been disabled. I believe there is a setting in Server.Prop file but I can't find that anywhere. I am using the Overwolf->FTB launcher. Any help resolving this would be greatly appreciated.

I believe the issue has to do with teams and the fact that we didn't join teams. My understanding now is that the original player has a "claim" on the starting area and no one else can modify it unless they are on the same team. I haven't had a chance to test this yet but that is my current theory. Anyone coming along later there is a number of commands starting with /ftbteams, then invite, join etc...
