Regrowth won't start

Details of the issue:
Every time I try to start up Regrowth, I get an error that says "some mods require java 1.8 or newer and you have 1.7." However, I have downloaded java 1.8 yet nothing works​

In the launcher options you need to tell the launcer to use java 8.
