Regrowth - I can't see anything when I look down and I have an item in hand!

Hi there everyone,
I got a problem where when I pick up an item everything "zooms in", I can't see my hot bar or anything else, I can't even access the options. However, when I am holding nothing it's okay apart from times where its really laggy. This happened before I installed optifine and I tried installing better fps. But nothing works, please help!
