Regrowth Crash

  • Tech Support section is for getting help with FTB related problems. If there's a repeatable issue that can be labeled as a bug, then please use the issue tracker for the pack or the app at GitHub issue trackers - If there's no repository for a pack that means that the pack is old and/or will not be updated. Bugs for older packs will not be fixed, unless they are critical.

Title Regrowth Crash

Launcher Type FTB Launcher

Modpack Regrowth

Modpack version 0.74

Have you modified the pack? Yes

Link to log file

Details of the issue There is an issue on launch of the modpack. When singleplayer is clicked and a world file is selected and "Play Selected World" is clicked, a message pops up that says:
Forge Mod Loader detected that the backup level.dat is being used. This may happen due to a bug or corruption, continuing can damage your world beyond repair or lose data/progress. It's recommended to create a world backup before continuing.

There are two buttons that say Yes and No. Pressing No returns to the menu and pressing Yes crashes the client.
I had originally installed Minefactory Reloaded which worked with no issues, also the modpack was working perfectly fine until my computer overheated and switched off. Upon launch I was greeted with the bug. MFR has been uninstalled but has not fixed the issue.
Any ideas on how to save my world?

With backups I mean copying the world somewhere safe, for example once a day. You could also install a mod to take backups, such as AromaBackup or FTB utilities.
Take a backup of your world and delete the hardcore questing data folder, it deletes your quest progress but you can use a HQM command to get a special book that you can use to complete the quests you have completed.

No, ftb>Regrowth>world>HardcoreQuesting folder. It will reset your quest progress, use /hqm edit to get an OP boot and Shift leftclick to mark them completed.

Sorry, in singleplayer it's in saves folder, and it's named the same as your world.

Okay, so I've done it and my world is loaded perfectly fine! Except now... I don't have any quests in my quest book at all! And I don't mean locked ones, there are none in the book!

Edit: I have attempted to copy/paste the players.dat and players.dat-backup files from another world, but it hasn't changed anything. Still no quests available.
