Problem Refined Storage auto crafting Sky factory 3

so im trying to do refined storage and the auto crafting.

i already have the refined storage setup, and i added a craft to it with the pattern grid and what not

after i made a pattern for the essence to turn to ingots or material, i put the pattern into the crafter.

from what i seen from youtube videos, i should see the item with craft on it, but i dont.

is there a certain type of cable connection? is there a certain type of setup?

if someone could, post a picture of their refined storage setup? cause ive trying this for several hours

so i found out if the grid already had the item in it, it wont auto craft it.

So how do i auto craft something?

Middle click with the scroll wheel will let you autocraft with the item already in the system.

it does? never knew that.
normally, middle click lets you take a single item out of the grid (while left click is a stack, and right click is half a stack)
never tried it on autocraft items though
