I though of this idea while working on energy distribution in my world for buildcraft power using Redstone energy conduits.

So I think it would be a good idea if there was someone to put a "limiter" on your redstone conduit that only allowed x amount of BC energy through. (Just like how Redstone Energy cell can limit out/input) my thought that this would be a block that is placed inline in place of a normal redstone conduit.

I know this can already be done using a redstone energy cell but to put those down whenever you want to control the power distribution seems a little expensive considering each one has a diamond in it.

Any thoughts or ideas?

Conductive pipes since 1.5.2 can do that stuff, allowing you to limit some power going through it.

I don't see why you would want to limit the amount of MJ going through a conduit, since if it doesn't go anywhere it's lost.

Unless you're using redstone energy cells for overflow storage. Although, if you're using redstone energy cells for storage, I don't see why you can't afford another one to limit the amount of MJ going through a conduit.[DOUBLEPOST=1376942681][/DOUBLEPOST]Also, adding to what Pokefenn said:

In the 1.5.2 versions, every conductive pipe has a limit to how much MJ can go through it. They go by base 16.

The main reason in my mind behind it was too limit how much energy went into my Forestry farms/machines since they can be a bit of a hog of energy in early game when managing power can still be a problem.

Or use BC energy pipes...each type limits the power by a different amount..I believe the NEI tool tip shows how much
