What happens if you make an infinite pool of water, at Y240 or something, a redpower pump that deploys waters downwards onto the world, what would happen? Would it end up as an underwater world? I wonder, I've never tried it (except a tiny test at ground level, which it flooded the ground) Anyone knows?

It won't, there is a limited range to which the pump can place source blocks from the grate.

and that range would be..? 64 blocks or something?

edit: I made 3 pumps in creative on superflat, still on only 1 layer of water and they're off the big voxel map (even if you zoom out as far as possible)
even now it has yet to stop
Starting to question the existance of a limit - or it's very high

It's large (much larger than the BC pump), but it is there. Can't quote numbers, though.

1000 block radius I think for the source block removal, I know its 100 or larger, so its likely 1000.

So for all intents and purposes you could make an above-ground underwater base.
