Redpower 2 inactive?

no one knows when Redpower 2 gets updated, if it'll even get updated.
Some people wait for the Rapture.
Some people wait for the Apocalypse.

I held the faith for 1.4 and after a long time of waiting it was rewarded, but I have none left for any future updates. The one and only update we've had from her was that she had expected to announce something by then, but basically got too caught up in playing DOTA2. That was August.
I'm almost certain the pressure of trying to update RP2 for each version and her unwillingness to share the workload finally caught up to her. She had a prolonged time not dealing with mod development and the stress that it comes with it, and she's too used to it now to go back so she's content to quietly fade from the scene. Pure speculation on my part, but I believe it to be closer to the truth than not.

Try to have hope for more realistic things, I don't know: Peace in the world, Commercial travelling to mars next month with splendid hotels, or peaceful alien coming to give us technology and every one accept it without panic nor xenophobia.
What I wonder is why no one's started working on a decent replacement for RP2. The microblock functionality has been replicated by the multipart API, but not much else has. The closest thing I've seen so far to the Redstone logic gates/red alloy wire is MFR, but the PRC is extremely expensive compared to RP2's smooth stone/Redstone based gates.
To actually answer the question: no, I doubt anyone here knows when RedPower 2 will be updated. Elo has stated she's working on it, but has had other things on her plate for some time since she, ya know, has a life to deal with. Just ignore the dweebs who try to harp on Elo for not giving them what they feel they deserve, they're serving much the same purpose as hecklers do at a comedy club. That is to say, nothing beyond an annoying irritant.
have you thought of Project Red? it essentially is RedPower as it has everything in it that RedPower had: Logic Gates, Timers, Bundled Cabling, Marble, Basalt etc. i dont know if it is considered "legal" to use though.
Project Red is a mod done in the vein of RedPower. RedLogic is another one. Look 'em up on Minecraftforum.
