What do you throw into your recyclers (gregtech) when the stone recipes are disabled? Share your secrets :)

I've had rubber from MFR farm and crap from mob spawners thrown in but it's not really efficient as it gets kind of laggy.

Eggs from chickens, ice/snow blocks (snowballs are disabled by default IC2) from Glacial Precipitator. But what actually encompasses stone here, does sand work or glass etc?

I haven't tried any of these yet, but I would imagine that sticks/TC shovels/axes would work quite well.

Personally, I just don't use and nerf infinite cobble generators in my games, then disable the cobblestone restriction.

However, if you have MFR, rubber trees and jungle trees (MFR harvests the vines) make for great combined scrap/energy production,

I use the cobble from my quarries to generate scrap (though I am on 1.4.7), I have yet to play the scrap lottery as well.

Well the problem I am having is that I am making 10240 eu/t and I have two matter fabs that use this power. I was using stuff such as uranium dust to power them but I wish to switch to something more sustainable and automated.

I was doing some test and I put in 64 of the following: cobble, sand, gravel, flint, glass, glass pane, stone slab, cobble slab, stone pipe, cobble pipe.

The only thing that I received scrap from was gravel (4 scrap) while nothing else yielded anything. I'm not sure if I am not putting enough of each item to get a good measure but do you guys have any other ideas?

I find Nether Wart produces items quite fast as it only has 4 stages of growth. Use Xychorium Soil and Golems to farm. Sugar Cane is another candidate but pretty much any crop would do, those just make the most individual items and only one type of item.

Steves Cart glass tanks. The process is completely isolated from extruder to recycler, it just takes a macerator/pulv, furnace, and multiple auto crafting tables.

I don't use scrap as an amplifier - I was macerating Ender Pearls from an Enderman SoulShard farm and using the dust from those, works like a charm!

There are plenty of amplifiers if scrap doesn't work out. I've just been saving up scrap from a long time ago. Been recycling my excess bulk for a while now.

If you run nuclear farms, the plutonium you get from centrifuging uranium dust/re-enriched cells is one of the best amplifiers. I think one dust lasts a couple UUM. If you aren't into blutricity/RP2 power, then go ahead and throw your nikolite in there as well. You don't necessarily have to sustain your UU factory off one item. Try and achieve sustainability through multiple items, if it is more convenient. If you have an AE system, simply add all the items you want to use for amplifiers to the export bus and it'll naturally cycle through whatever you have.

Tungsten dust is easily gained through centrifuging lava. Manganese is a byproduct of something (forgot) and isn't used in much else. If you're not into MFFS, forcicium counts. Like the post above, ender eye dust works as well, assuming you have a good ender farm going (easily achievable).

If gravel works, you could throw some cobble into a rock crusher and get gravel out.

Ah the enderpearl dust suggestion is good since I have a t5 shard.

I was wondering if someone could post how the new recyclers work since the FTB-wiki isn't too specific. =[

I would continue your production of cobble. Send it through an array of pulverizers/macerators, which will come out as sand, send it through a auto crafter to produce sandstone, then through another autocrafter to brake it up into sandstone halfsteps, then send it through your recycler.

Ender eye dust works as well if I remember right, and way more efficiently.

I bet GT will allow you to recycle iridium.... don't quote me on that though....
