I am using ftb unhinged and i made an automatic recycler. The problem is that it doesn't not accept anything from a hopper, buffer, or pipe through the top.

The regular recycler works but doesn't seem to actually make any scrap.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Why would you try to feed something with a month?;)
As for the other problem, what are you recycling? Some things can't be recycled into scrap.

Ahh, i missed that typo. Autocorrect fail ha.

Well the greg tech explains why the normal recycler doesn't seem to function. But my real problem is not being able to automate a feed system for my Greg tech version.

I tried dirt, cobble, and gravel. Mostly cobble. All of which when manually loaded into the automatic greg version produced scrap.

Use a MFR tree farm and then feed all the wood into the recycler. Whatever you do don't put overclockers in the automatic recycler there is a big penalty.

As Bomb Bloke said, a GregTech config option disables the use of "junk" items in a recycler. This goes for cobble, dirt, gravel, sand, etc.

Oh i understand now, those items are blocked. Thanks for clearing up my issue! There are many game mechanics to learn with all these mods!

Go into your config folder and, into the Gregtech folder. Open up a file called DynamicConfig and, search for these two lines: easymobgrinderrecycling and easystonerecycling. Set them to the opposite of what ever they have been set to. If they're true, set them to false and vice versa. You will now be able to recycle cobblestone, eggs and, other various mob drops.

Hmmm, now that i think about it, it would process everything if i put it in manually. I recieved a few scrap from it.
It just wouldnt load anything on it's own. It's on a friends server btw.

I wonder, is Greg that smart to block things produced from cobble, like slabs? Ifnot you could just autocraft them and put slabs in there.

There was an old post I read that some one automated it using the Igneous Extruder to make the cobblestones, grind some of them into sand and smelt into glass, runs 2 cobblestone and 1 sand through some automated crafting contraption to make BC cobblestone transport pipe then feed those into the recycler. 3 cobblestone for 8 pipes iirc?
