FTB Launcher version (if this isn't the newest update update and try again): 1.2.2

Minecraft Version: 1.4.6

Java version:
java version "1.7.0_11"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_11-b21)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 23.6-b04, mixed mode)

Detailed description of the issue / how can the issue be recreated: As the title says, everytime I record FTB Mindcrack with FRAPS, Java crashes and FTB locks up forcing me to kill it with Task manager. I have also tried DXtory and it seems that any program that directly records from the game itself causes the problem. For instance I can record the screen with Camtasia or similar programs but anythign like FRAPS/DXtory crashes Java/FTB
Error logs: No error logs can be gathered since Java crashes before FTB/Minecraft

Have you disabled the console screen? That always causes issues with me so I have the console disabled.

hmmm this is new, lemme see if i can reprodure this in the weekend (satherday i should have time) what version of fraps are you using? I presume DXtory you have uptodate?

Your recording in fullscreen or windowed mode? What resolution are you using?

Recording in maximized windowed mode and the resolution is 1920 x 1080. Fraps version is 3.5.9 and DXtory is up to date as well

Can you try what happens in fullscreenmode sometimes java doesn't like stuff hooking in on windowed modes

Hmm that's weird, I run in full screen, the fraps counter vanishes but when i coem out of full screen the counter is back but java isn't crashing.

So whatever has changed in Mindcrack v8 has seemed to fix the problem with DXtory. Fraps is still a pain but now I can at least record with DXtory and not have to resort to one of those hellish screen record programs.
