Reconfiguring a Powered Spawner?

Is it possible to re-configure a configured Powered Spawner, to spawn a different mob?

A while ago I configured a few Powered Spawners, but I have no real use for Creepers, and I'd like to set up a second Wither Skeleton spawner.

Just mining the Creeper powered spawner does not break it - i.e., that does not produce a Broken Spawner.

Can I reconfigure the Creeper-configured Powered Spawner to be a Wither Skeleton-configured Powered Spawner? (I have enough populated Wither Skeleton soul vials.)

I do not believe you can remove the spawner block from the power spawner once you have implanted them in the Anvil.
You will probably have to make a new powered spawner.
