Doesn't the advanced OpenGL setting do something for that ?
Yup, thats exactly what it does it seems, checked about advanced occlusion and it seems it stops the engine from rendering objects behind other solid objects

Think I tested it it with all particles turned off as well. I do think that somehow most of the machines stop rendering all their details when you move further away from them. Their animations perhaps?Particle effects, maybe? Some things only happen when there is a player within 16 blocks.
Tested that setting on many occasions and saw absolutely no improvement from it. Doubt it works with MC tbh, due to the the GFX engine of MC works different than what you get in other games.Doesn't the advanced OpenGL setting do something for that ?
I have experimented with LODs, but only the fuel-powered engine actually runs them right now. As for animations, no, they always run, and they are not the source of any lag.Think I tested it it with all particles turned off as well. That is what it is supposed to do, but the render code still runs; it merely prevents things from being passed to the graphics card.Doesn't the advanced OpenGL setting do something for that ?
With Optifine, all bets are off.might just be me then (or optifine)
I meant what it does to rendering code and the rendering pipeline.strangely Optifine is fine for me. just one little bug i fixed easily.
