Hello. I am hoping I can get some advice on my plans to upgrade my computer.
CPU: intel core 2 duo E6600 (2.4 GHz)
memory: 6 GB DDR2 (PC6400)
graphics: GeForce 8800 GTS (320 MB)
(It's not all old. I have recently bought an SSD hard drive. I have also upgraded from win xp to win 7)
FTB runs acceptably in a brand new world, but fps drops rapidly when machines and tubes start appearing. I would like to upgrade my computer to handle the game well.
I also want the computer to be cool, quiet and not too power hungry.
I am not playing more advanced games.
Processor alternatives
Graphics card alternatives
I have read Best Graphics Cards For The Money: June 2013 to get a basic idea. But Minecraft isn't taxing the GPU much, is it?
Memory
Motherboard
There are so many... I guess I'll just look at the CPU socket and then pick one at random.

- Use the intel built in graphics. (Good enough?)
- Radeon 7750 (Low power card, 55 W)
- Radeon 7770 (80 W)
- Something more expensive?
Memory
- 2 x 4 GB DDR3 1600 MHz
