I am very new and I don't know how to craft anything. It will let me take the items from inventory but I want to find things and craft them. How do I only see recipes?

either press r and u for recipes and uses or click options in the bottom left of your inventory and set the mode from cheat mode to recipe mode :)

Move your mouse over a item in your inventory or NEI and press R for recipes and U for uses (evry craft (or other machine) this item is used in).
