Really bad biome generation

Hi, so, I started a new world in Sky Factory 3, opened the F3 menu, saw that I spawned in a forest, and decided I would have a pretty ok play through. Turns out, The entire area surrounding me was a deep ocean. It would be more than 300 blocks in every direction to reach a not deep ocean. What exactly are my options when it comes to spawning mobs? Is there a way to regenerate biomes?
