Read timed out? cant join server?

what does the error report mean, because i cant log onto a server. this has persisted for a few days, please help

And what error report are we supposed to read?

So make sure the server is on, you have the right IP address entered, your cable is connected to the computer so you actually have internet access, you know the basic stuff of how to play online.

i had all of that, and incase you didnt notice, the error is "read timed out"

Read timeout means you lost connection to the server. Without any details we can't be of help.

Details include, but not limited to internet speeds of both the server and yours to the server; logs of where the error occured, what pack you are using, any extra mods, stuff that is actually helpful in any error report or request for help.
