I really want to get into reactor craft, if for no other reason then it is the wet dream of my physics mind to build one. I Just want to get some help to the general guidelines. I know I need knowledge of some basic nuclear physics, but that is it. Going to do some reading on actual reactors in real life so I can get an idea of what is gong on

Here's a good beginner's guide. Note that the High-Temperature Gas Reactor is one of the more complex designs in terms of functionality, but it's much safer than the standard boiling water reactor and you don't have to do any uranium enrichment to run it.

If you're starting now, I also recommend updating to the newest version of Reika's mods (v25, as of today) since there are quite a few changes which affect reactor-building.

'quite a few'... v25 is one of the biggest changelogs I've ever seen in a mod update :)

v25 is brand-spanking new, and its very common for a few quirks to appear for a few days after a major release. Keep an eye on the site for updates.

The HTGR, as mentioned, is safe. It also has the benefit of requiring less "tech" to get started, since you do not need to refine the fuel. Hence its a "beginner" reactor of sorts.

I Like the idea, but I'm on my own private server with no knowledge on how to edit my pack, or the server pack.... Any help would be appreciated.

That's going to be trickier; you have to update multiple mods to get to v25, and all the players on the server will need to as well.

Most people don't even bother, but if you're limited to v23, you're missing out on an awful lot of bug fixes, performance improvements and added functionality.

This isn't really something I'd be able to provide a lot of advice with either :([DOUBLEPOST=1406127088][/DOUBLEPOST]Oh, and as usual, I recommend against using ReactorCraft on servers unless you're sticking to the safe HTGR.

Note that Reika also warned that you will have to break ALL engines before upgrading to v25.

No one on my private server cares. =) especially because i will be way far away so we wont have to deal with anything if it become a big issue. I'll just try to upgrade to 23 for now, if im unhappy then I'll look into the other,
