(Re-) Spawning the Enderdragon

I just traveled to the end because i want to defeat the enderdragon. I entered the end, but there was no enderdragon. After a while, I noticed that I was playing on peaceful mode. Now I am trying to respawn it. I tried several things (not in peaceful mode, of course) :
-Suicide
-Traveling to the overworld and back to the End
-Cheat in Enderdragon spawning eggs
-deleting the dimension file in the configs (which dimension actually is the end?)

Nothing worked for me. Are there other possibilities?

if the spawn egg didn't work then you were still in peacefull

Try deleting the entire dimension folder. Not sure if that was what you meant with "dimension file in the configs". It should be DIM1, make a backup first!
