Re-Installing mods in FTB Infinity

Not sure where to post this thread so please be gentle :p

I play FTB Infinity 1.3.1 on my server and I have installed other mods not in the pack.
When the pack updates, do I have to re-install the mods again or does the pack leave the other mods alone and updates only the mods within the pack?

Help
 
Thanks for the quick response. Is there any way to prevent this? I didn't realize the pack completely wipes everything and starts over.
