RAM Usage?

I have allocated 4 GB of RAM to my FTB. and i realized it is only using 3% of it. how can i make it use more?

1. I find that very hard to believe.
2. If it is true, then what it wrong with it?? If FTB used that much RAM on my computer, I would be pretty damn happy.
