RAM maximum problem

Howdy!

I have massive lag while playing.

Looked up the article why my game is lagging and tried to "give" more RAM to the game. My problem is this, I have 4GB RAM but on the launcher I can only choose max. 1GB RAM. In the article it says

At this time, the launcher will allow you to allocate up to 1/4 less RAM than your system has.

So.... any way to fix this?

That should be plenty of RAM. I have 4GB of RAM on my computer and allocated 1GB to FTB and it runs perfect. You probably shouldn't allow it to use more than 1/4. Trust the FTB Team, they know their shit. I recommend you get a better video card. My friend only has 512 MB (1/2 of a Gigabyte) allocated to FTB and he gets great FPS, around 100.

You need Java 64bit to allocate more than 1GB to the Launcher. Get the 64bit version here. That is assuming you have windows for MacOS look here. Be sure to remove all other versions of Java even the 32bit versions.
