Railcraft and full automation

Ive figured out how to get full automation from railcraft but i was wondering if anyone had a good way to handle letting passengers get inand out of carts. i tried using the disembarking rail but then just get kicked out on the track and the train stops. I could use a boarding track and have it on a timer but i was wondering if there were alternatives to that before i just did it. also how many redstone repeaters do you think it would take to get a train on a good timeing for getting on and off? at 4 it doesnt work out too well
