ITT: Most annoying and rageful death situations.

I'll start.

Playing on the new Unleashed pack, had a good upgraded powersuit and manamana Pick/Rapier/Hammer/Shovel and other pretty good tools. Died in nether to >overheated >powersuit, fortunately, I dug in a little cubby hole in the wall and it all stayed there.

I proceeded to keep trying to go back to the spot about 5 times, died every time. Finally, a friend lends me his powersuit with a jetpack and some fire resist rods. I find where I was. As soon as I come up to the spot, I see the stuff, I drop to it and... the stuff friggen DESPAWNS. I rage quit pretty damn hard. (Handed back the stuff of course)

I died 4 times in a row trying to get Glowstone in the nether and forgetting I didn't have my spawn set to my bed...

I've never had a rage quit death in FTB, but shortly after I bought MC, a creeper blew me up in my first caving expedition. It only did about 1 heart of damage, but it destroyed the 1-block thick stone below me, dropping me straight into a pool of lava. Now THAT was annoying.

I honestly never died in FTB. In RR I did charge a nitro creeper in the nether (using a TC3 wand of lightning) and was witness to that awesome destructive power.

I was going to rage quit but I realized I had a silver charm of keeping in my inventory. When I went back to collect the things that weren't saved that crater was massive. I enjoyed that laugh.

I died of a bug that made me glitch out of the world. I lost a gravisuite, ultimate solar helmet, full set of mps suite, full set of quantum, wand of lightning, fire, equal trade, advanced electric jetpack, and more!

One of my most memorable rage-deaths was pre-FTB. I was playing in a personal modpack that included Buildcraft and Thaumcraft 2. I had just mined enough resources to build myself a quarry and had just set it up. So, I was sitting there, watching my quarry and saw the quarry arm go up to a Thaumcraft crystal and... just drop the crystals on the floor without picking them up. Seeing as how crystals are kind of important to Thaumcraft, I shut the quarry off and decided I'd need a new approach. So, I built a Pickaxe of the Core. PoC's original right-click ability was to summon a little wisp that would fly towards the nearest ore vein. So, I summoned a wisp and followed it... straight into the quarry crater where I fell to the bottom and landed in lava, losing everything. Immediately quit and deleted the whole world.

Lost a gravisuit ultimate solar helm and quantum boots and leggings and vajra to a MFFS Station placed in the nether it was hidden under nether rack! god dammit also not evan the admin could get that stuff back ): still didn't rage quit lol

My frist Mindcrack world was rage quit inducing. Took five trys to make a working map. Then spawned inside a volcano and suffercated to death. Respawn landed me in lava a few times before I just closed MC and went and played Dark Souls for a few hours.

Went to the nether to try out my new DartCraft flight armor. One flap, two flaps, three flaps, flight meter depleted, straight fall into lava with no way to get back up.

It gets me every time I go to another dimension. Also, I did the same thing in the promised lands. I died right next to a river, too.

Literally, every single time I start a new world in feed the beast I finish my first mining session, and die on the way up.

That beats my most memorable spawn... In an extreme jungle hills biome inside an underground lake. no tools, no wood, no light. I had to mind through 4 or 5 stone layers by hand to reach the edge. I went outside and worked my way down the hill mountain super extreme cliff, got food, wood, some basic beginning stuff, and since night was falling, I decided to work my way back to my spawn point and use the already created cave as a starting base. I was just entering, when a skeleton shot me from out of the cave, and pushed me off the cliff where I fell to my death. That world was instantly deleted.

Underestimated the power of lava.

Got out because nano suit.
Burning screen + damage pokes make you fall off a cliff and not realize it.
Die on top of your own nether portal.

My most memorable Rage death was when I still played Technic back. I had Mo Creatures installed, and I started up a new world.

I spawned on a desert island in the middle of an ocean, with no trees or dirt to be seen. I realized I couldn't survive on that island, so I tried swimming away. That is when I discovered the wonders of sharks.

I started a new world.

Basically every time I go to the nether without a fully decked out powersuit or equivalent, I end up rage quitting. One of the most memorable ones was when I had to walk over 800 blocks from my portal to find a nether fort. I finally found the blaze spawner, was killing some blazes while setting up a nice little trap area, accidentally uncovered a bit of lava, got fireballed into it by a blaze, and promptly died and rage quit. I ended up just giving up on that for a while and worked on some other stuff. Funny thing was, I finally went back there and most of my stuff was fine. Another time was when I was walking back from a lucrative mining trip in the nether, heard a ghast, tried to run away, and ran straight into the fireball which knocked me into a lava ocean. There was also that time where I accidentally turned off my powersuit flight while flying over a lava ocean. And that time in my first ultimate world when I mined nether ores for the first time, needless to say it didn't end well. Recently, I went to the nether to get some more glowstone to make my laser drills, was mining some ardite with my power drill (forgot it was in area mode) and accidentally mined some nether ore. 10-20 pigmen rushed towards me, and at least one of them was a fire breathing infernal mob. For some reason that infernal went nuts and started attacking his fellow pigmen. I made a break for it and rushed back towards my portal, making a narrow escape.

none in FTB, but back in vanilla, was leveling a spawn area in the nether for blaze/wither skeletons, slipped off the edge through the only hole i had left to fill, landed 6 blocks from the ocean.
i had my first (and so far, ONLY) F3, E4, U3 pick with me. guess what the only item to fly that far and land in the lava was. yep. you guessed it. that pick.

ive had the occasional night stuck outside, get killed a few dozen blocks from bed, run out, die, repeat. not rage worthy really. annoying though.


im using unleashed right now, and one of the first things i did was put enchanting+ on. sick of the random enchantments giving me E2,U1, etc. on level 30 picks, and dont get me started on armor/sword enchants.

went like "omffhsdhgkldfhnuuuuuuuuj!!" then I suddendly calmed down and embraced my incoming death
