Quick Question about donation advantages

So my friend told me that there was a new rule about donations on FTB servers giving advantages, is it true that this is forbidden now?

Yes. You can take donations, but it is against Minecraft's EULA and the license of several mods to reward the player with anything that impacts gameplay. You can sell cosmetic items, though.

And what mods are that? Is there someone that checks this kind of stuff?

Well, it doesn't matter what mod - it's the entire game. There's not really anyone devoted to checking this stuff, but if you're caught doing it, you could get into a lot of legal trouble.

They also said they run their server pure from donations, I can understand why people donate tbh

I got banned for complaining about this. The reason I complained about it was because the admins spawned like hundreds of sheep & snowman in our town & house and they were chidish about removing them saying I never asked them to remove the snowman & sheep.

It's alright that they run from donations, but this is against the rules. They can't sell this stuff.

You, or anyone else, are within your rights to complain to Mojang about the server. It doesn't matter that the server is modded. To quote the EULA Q&A

Does the EULA still apply for access to user-created mods?
Yes. It doesn’t make a difference who made the mods, or how they were implemented onto your server. All mods require Minecraft to run. You are not allowed to charge for Minecraft features which affect gameplay.
