question is pretty easy, how do i get a horse? do i have to build a grass field and hope for the best? or there is some mod tingy i dont know? ex compressum doesnt have horse bait

NEW QUESTION

can i modify recipes back to what they were before the "expert" mode put a bunch of seeds in it to waste my time? i'm mostly talking about the watercan and the presser. and please dont tell me to deactivate expert mode since i'm fine with all the other recipes exept the ones were they add random seeds to waste time and dont make any sense

You are correct in your assumption that you need a grass field and hope for the best.

I assume you would need your pasture to reside in a Biome capable of spawning a horse as well. May be simple "is it plugged in?" troubleshooting, but if it saves anyone a headache...

The pack does have Pam's Harvestcraft, right?

Make a marketplace block, not only does it have every seed and tree (Unless black listed), pass mob spawn eggs are in there in some packs.
well in advanced skyblock the market block requires steel (the watering can) so that's not an option i guess i'll try the field and if no horse spawn then i'll cheat, i cant be bothered in finding a damn horse chunk

Just out of curiosity, why do you need a horse? If you want glue to make the blast furnace, you're better off making a mob spawner and using TNT to make the blast bricks. Or gunpowder from sifting dust (that's still a thing, right? I've got 20k+ gunpowder in my skyblock world, but I'm not sure if some of it is from sifting or if it's all from my mob spawner.)

I got a horse, it isn't impossible to do. I wasn't even trying. Put the horse in a Golden Lasso and that's where it still is, in a chest somewhere. I don't play the modpack too much anymore, precisely for the reason that removing the overworld takes away too much of the good part of the game for me (such as riding horses to explore).

NEW ANSWER

if i were you (and I'm not, just so we're clear), I would probably have selected "enable cheats" when I created my world, and therefore I would simply type /gamemode 1, to put it into creative mode temporarily, obtain my items the easy way, then type /gamemode 0, and carry on with my life.

I think the short answer to your question is "No." but it's entirely possible someone is gonna show up and discuss Minetweaker and how to mess around with stuff that I never mess with, and change my "No" into a "Yes you can". So don't give up just yet. :)

And if you didn't enable cheats, there's still a way... "Open to LAN", and then I forget what you have to do. You might just be able to type /gamemode 1 and go from there.

If you have the option, you can also disable Expert Mode just to craft those items with nornal recipies, then turn it back on. Creative Mode spawning and trashing the resources you would be spending is also a way.

You definitely can screw with Minetweaker, but I would be leary of screwing things up (mostly due to my lack of knowledge/experience with it). Where there's a mod, there's a way.

thanks for the answers, well i think i'll just cheat them in and trash mats then, since i cant even find the right minetweaker file to edit

Well, unless something has changed, you cannot exit expert mode in the skyblock version of Infinity.
As for the watering can and presser, you should have a mod tower by this point so you have bones-a-plenty and therefore bonemeal.
Bonemeal the cross crop sticks to force cross breading and you can get all the needed seeds in a few hours at the most.
I got all of them as 10/10/10s as I wen along and it only took me about 4 hours, while upkeeping everything else I had setup at that point.
You will want to do this anyway as once you have the presser you will have soybeans to put in them, and if you have been keeping them up, at least 8-12 stacks of them.
You will also have a wide variety of other veg to go with the firm tofu to start making better food for you and your power needs, culinary generators.
