So I don't have any issues with getting biomes to generate. I am trying to actually get some clarification.

In pretty much all of the threads they state change the "add biomes to default world" to true.
In some they also tell you to change the server properties 'level type' to BIOMESOP but in others they say leave it at default.

If you have the 'add biomes to default world' set to true what are the differences between using BIOMESOP vs DEFAULT for the 'level type'? I have not really been able to find anything via searches.

Q: What is the point of the separate world type?
A: While it may not seem like there is a huge difference between the regular worldtype and the Biomes O' Plenty world type, there certainly are differences. These include: Alpha Beaches in the Origin Valley biome, custom village generation and overriding vanilla biomes with our enhanced variations of them.

This is from the FAQ on the Biomes O' Plenty page.

Basically the BIOMESOP level type adds a bit of custom world gen, like spawning villages and other vanilla structures in the new biomes and making other tweaks.

As for "add biomes to default world" to true that is for people that just want the extra biomes and nothing else. For example if your using another world gen type that does not have support for BoP built in.
