Alrighty then, I suppose many people know that ethereal blooms clean up taint like nobody's business, and some have probably used it for eerie biomes as well. Question is, do ethereal blooms work for magical forest? If not how else are we able to clear it?

You are not supposed to clear it. You can with technomancy, but otherwise no.

Considering they spawn in Magical Forest biome, it would be a little odd if they erased it.

Erm they don't. Ethereal blooms as far as i know spawn only in a rainbow forest biome. The ones you're referring to would be the shimmerleaf, and it doesn't do anything to biomegen or biome changing for that matter.
