I have a Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme, using Windows 7 64bit.
Here is my problem.
The only time I get sound, for instance a skeleton shooting at me, or a jukebox playing, or foot steps. My character has to have the side of his head facing the direction of the sound, and it only comes out of that speaker (left or right depending on the left or right side of my characters head.)
When I have my back to something, I get 0% sound from that source, when facing it, I get about 20-40% if that.
How do I fix this? I have tried about every option in my sound blaster control panel. This started happening when I reformatted my computer last week and reinstalled everything.
Anyone have similar problems and know of a fix? It used to be that I could hear everything based on how close I was not what direction my characters facing.
Thank you for your time.
