Magma Crucible, and put it next to a liquid transposer so you can actually do something with it. =)

Yeah, Liquid Transposer is where you actually get to use the Molten Redstone, so you're half-right; it just needs to be produced in the Magma Crucible and routed over first. The joys of learning via NEI while we hold on an official wiki. =)

My big question is, once pipes can produce light, will molten redstone produce 7 light, like redstone torches.

I can't speak for pipes per se, but it does glow correctly in TE's Liquiducts. It's not purely light level 7 though - that will depend on the amount.
