Question about Transport Pipes.

What is the maximum life span of an item traveling through one? Is it still 5 minutes before it disappears?

But if it can't go anywhere once it reaches the end of the line, it will just spit out on the ground.

You can trick the system to think theres always a valid output by making an iron pipe loop.

Having items travel to a chest and get inputted into my MFR Storage System.

If too many items are in one pipe, the items will explode into nothing. The pipe won't, but the items will. A way to solve this would be to use golden pipes or hook up an incinerator.
