How much lag do they create? I noticed that when I removed the ones I placed, my FPS started to increase a little.

That depends on your computer. They do, however, make invisible blocks (similar to Vanilla air blocks) in any space lit.

Have a good comp and recently put my OS onto a 240GB SSD. The SSD is dedicated ONLY to the OS...and minecraft.

May not be the "Newest and Best", but I built it myself (researching the parts) and it plays the latest games without a hitch.

What texture pack do you have? It may be because I'm using a combination of 256X and 64X texture and some don't come in the 256X size.

It's either the textures I'm using or I have too many machine running (which I have less then 20).
