question about rubber trees and portal guns

I know that resin isn't produced on logs chopped and placed, but I was wondering if you moved the resin producing log with a portal gun would it continue to function or go inactive?

It continues to function, and retains the orientation of the resin spot. This means you can create a very efficient rubber farm, where you just have to run around and click
