As you all know you need 1 certus quartz dust, 1 redstone, and 1 nether quartz dust to make 2 fluix dust.

Whether using shapeless crafting, or the autocrafting system, the gregtech version will not craft it. Herein lies the problem. When I pulverize/macerate the nether quartz, i get the Gregtech version of the dust. I then have to hold that dust in my inventory for it to turn into the Applied Energistics version. Thus enabling me to use shapeless/autocrafting.

Is there a way to fix this? Whether it be by disabling the Gregtech version of that output, or somehow fixing the recipe? And if so how ?

Side note, this isn't the only item this happens to, happens to other dusts, and things a lot, but no issue with their recipes.

Any help please ?

Thanks,

Brian

I see. Trying to find this in the config. Do you know where it's at? Only thing with "universal" i see in the config is for a universal macerator. Not seeing a universal mode sotpseak.
No clue, I just know b/c I have an IRL friend who plays GT.

Just in case you are still looking for an answer to this - You can build a Unifier to translate items from different mods into other mod specific ID's. In the case of nether Quartz Dust, you first need a sample to set the unifier. You can get this by closing FTB, opening up the config files and locating the Applied Energistics, located at Monster/minecraft/config/AppliedEnergistics.cfg

Once there, locate the following line of code, should be only a few lines down:

disablenetherquartzrecipes {
B:ore.disableNetherQuartzRecipes=false
}
Set this to true. This basically stops AE from sending info to the NEI ore dictionary so it wont convert them, then you can ground your nether quartz up fine. Consequently, you can reset this to false afterwards and it seems to permanently fix it, so must be some sort of ordered priority thing going on.

Hope this helps all the AE Fans gritting their teeth!

This is the best way to resolve issues having to do with gregtech.

Not best, just easiest.
No. In my opinion, which is unable to be proven or unproven, it is the best way to handle any issue regarding gt. And by best, I mean to use a general and relative term to its most useless definition.

It won't be the best for the person you are trying to help. Chances are, the person has GT in the pack for a reason.
I had GT in the pack for a reason, I love it... however I tried for a month with no success to edit the configs to stop it fiddling. Still could find no way around a crafting loop for rubber products
