Hi,

I have a very simple question :

Can I cool down my nuclear reactor heat. I do not mean "yes with vent/cooling cells placed next to the uranium cells".

I was trying out some setups and eventually my heat went to 7900 ( shown on my industrial information panel ).

My reactor have been off for one hour now and it still shows me 7900 heat ( and it burns outch! ).

Is there any way to make this number go down ?

Thank you in advance for your much appreciated help.

Regards.

Perhaps load it with no cells and just vents inside, then run it?

Thanks Adonis0 for your fast answer.

Unfortunately I already tried this and had it turn for about 10 minutes with vents only ( and / or coolant cells ) but no result so far.

Should I wait more than 10-15mins ? I felt like it would have dropped way quicker than that to be honest.

Well, you can cool a nuclear reactor with ice, both placed around the outside and put into the reactor, so make some ice and put it in and around it. If this doesn't work then..... I don't know.

Edit: Have you tried just replacing the blocks that measure the heat? they might be "stuck"

Hi Samueldmm, thank you for your time.

Unfortunately, ice is not doing any good, I can't even place it inside.

I know my information panel is working fine because, I am actually taking damage at some place near the reactor because of the heat.

Lucky enough the structure I used cannot be put on fire.

Maybe I'll just have to remove the reactor block but still it annoys me quite a bit...

what about running it with a single uranium cell inside and filled up with an insane amount of coolant cells and vents?
Or perhaps run it with whatever material produces even less heat?

I tried that option yesterday without result.

I finally decided to remove the block, with some regret and deception.

Thanks anyway, I guess you can not cool it after it reaches some heat.

If anyone knows how, feel free to enlighten us, as in the dark we stand now ( and maybe ) forever.

Running with coolant cells inside should remove heat per tick, consuming the cells in the process. That it isn't happening is a bit disconcerting.

Do you see anything obvious or of interest in your log?
