Question about FTB Multiplayer

Hey guys, just a quick question..
All my friends stopped playing Minecraft on my server and I wanted to cancel my subscription with Creeperhost. I was wondering is there a way to transfer/save my world from the server and play it offline/single player?
Sorry for the noob question, i tried searching on YouTube but all it had was transferring worlds from SP to MP.. unless its the same principle?

It is the same. If you have ftp access download your entire world folder and copy it into the Saves folder on your PC. It should appear in your list of single player games.
 
Too easy! Another question, i'm quite new to this FTP stuff. I've downloaded Filezilla, accessed my files server, but when i tried clicking download Minecraft folder it wouldn't let me it had a message saying ' Error:File transfer failed ' is there something i'm doing wrong?
