I'm trying to figure out while module i need to increase the energy output. currently, they each produce 2mJ per Tick. I would like to increase that. Is there a chart to compare the various upgrade modules for these engines?

In short though, everything except Iron is really a downgrade, as it's the only one that improves efficiency. All of the others are less efficient than even stock.

It is far better to just make more engines and use some energy conduits to pipe the power wherever you want it to go.

Already did that, wasted all my resources making 18 engines and running them off solar panels. When I get more resources, I'll make the Advanced Solar Panels...if I don't die from Creeper explosions first.

BTW, I'm just thinking ahead on what I could build to upgrade them. Don't have the materials yet to actually make them.

Apparently they go in a slot to prevent them from overheating. Maybe. Not sure if they actually accept them or not. Don't see the point, given that if they're overheating that means their power isn't being used, which means you want to turn them off - which overheating will achieve for you at least temporarily, if for whatever reason you're not already doing it with a lever or gate.
