Question about chunk loading

Hello,

I have a question about chunk loading. I am running infinity evolved server for my friend and me. Neither of us were in server and our big reactor ran out of fuel (it was full when I left and my friend wasn't in server). So is the server loading some chunks when there is no player in server? Our house is near spawn and we do have ender quarry in 200 m radius from our house.

It happened to me once - quite a while ago - that my reactor lost all fuel because I build it between two chunks that were loaded at different times. :-/

To ensure that it is not running, you could use some kind of online detector and turn it off via redstoen signal, if no player is online.
