Ok so I have currently been playing on 1.4.7 Ultimate and I am thinking of going to 1.5.2 but I need to know a few things first if anyone can answer them. Do the bees in 1.5.2 randomly die with all the ignoble and whatnot? Are you still able to enchant your ic2 tools etc? and is there any other nerfs I need to know about really, I know about the bonemeal and blazepowder one with ee3 has been removed but, I heard there was also a nerf with soul shards? Something about it requiring end stone? Is this in these packs or is it on 1.6 that has that change?

1. No. That's a 1.6.2 change.
2. No idea. Check the changelogs. I think it might have been fixed in 1.5.2
3. Yes, things have changed. And it's a major version, so lots of things have changed. Redstone/ender are now placable liquids, and a whole load of other stuff that I can't remember off the top of my head. Stuff changes, stuff is balanced. Consult mod changelogs for details.
4. Yes, there has been a change to soul shards regarding the production methods. This isn't a nerf, it's an implementation of something that was decided on.

It's quite easy to get end-stone by visiting a bunch of random mystcraft ages. It's quite common.

So is it worth it to upgrade to you guys? I would honestly just like to know the noticeable nerf changes that change gameplay a ton to be honest. Then I can see. I just can't decide for myself, any ideas?

My idea would be to try a pack. It costs you nothing but time. If you don't like a pack, delete it and try another.

I upgraded a few weeks ago and I think it's totally worth it.
There aren't any gameplay changes or nerfs that impact me at all.
The only mod that is missing is RedPower2. But with some additional mods, which are not included in the packs at the moment you can almost replace it.

I am utterly confused on what the heck is going on to be honest, I literally get like 100 fps in ultimate on a new world and in unleashed im getting like 800 fps. wat. I guess im upgrading, there isn't any real issues with any of the mods, balances are good some suck but hey I am sure I can stick with 1.5.2 I doubt I will upgrade to 1.6.2 however due to bees being terrible.

Forge did some optimizations for 1.5, in part to better natively support texture packs without the usual "use Optifine" response. Your system apparently is good enough to really see the benefits of this. =)

Why thank you vauthil, I was really wondering on what had changed. I am extremely glad they did optimize some things and it actually did some good, I hope it does a lot of good for others aswell. Thank you.
