actually while i dont belive that they have actually showed on DW20's videos some of the other players have talking on the videos about the quarry not capping on power as fast as it does now and just making it more and more faster.
i have a test world with the latest avilable mods i can get my hands on and it is not that fast in it

The video I'm talking about is with Monkeyfarm and Docm77 in the Modded Minecraft series. It's the one where they visit Direwolf and he shows them the improved Quarry.
Bloody hell...Redpower? Ah man, a lot of things can't be built properly because it's not released yet. And when it is, have to start a new world to get Volcanoes and the new stuff.
I'm so tired of starting new worlds. I'm sticking with my world now and will use Mystcraft for new world gen.

Tested the quarry in 1.4.5 (magic world FTW guys), running off an energy cell it goes about 2x to 3x as fast as before.
(The video in his server play that mentioned the fast "quarry" was in fact the filler, which digs crazy fast when given the same power- but dumps resources as they drop instead of collecting them. -This makes them very good for blitzkrieg mining raids on super-dense ores worlds)
