Is it possible to use RP2 tubes to take items out of a quarry and into a bunch of barrels? I am a RP noob and don't know if I should power it even though the quarry spits it out without power with buildcraft pipes. The issue I am having with buildcraft pipes is that the items will just go down the line of barrels and randomly go in one. a majority of them end up going out the end.
 
Place a relay next to the quarry and attach the pneumatic tubes to the output of the relay. It doesn't work if you just attach the pipe directly to the quarry, but the quarry will output into the relay and then into your pneumatic tubes.
 
Yes but not directly. There is a RP2 block called a "relay" place that next to the quarry like you would a pipe or chest and it will output to it. then just connect your tube network to it like normal. It outputs on the bottom (the "stone" side with the hole) and can be rotated with a screwdriver. It automatically ejects any items put into it, so it makes for a nice dump chest for sorting systems too.
