in 1.4.7 it`s rather awkward, to someone that`s used to creative fly. in 1.5.2 packs, and above, they can be equalized.

Is that in the tinker table? I looked through the list kinda quickly and couldn't find it. It'd be nice to have a few extra slots for building. Kinda makes me sad that I'd be replacing my advanced drill and chain saw =(. Does the punch upgrade make it ANYWHERE as strong as the chainsaw, at least?

I personally prefer the mps for its looks and functionality. It's just so cool to turn sprint and jump to max and be able to jump 12 blocks up and 80 blocks across without flight. Without gregtech, I do prefer the cost of the quantum and the gravisuite, the IC2 and TE recipes are a little to cheap for me. At that cost, you'll never use anything else except maybe a suit of iron when you're just starting out.
Since I started using MPS, my gravichest and quantum pieces are stuck on an armor stand unless I'm killing the wither. Generally speaking and IMHO, MPS is completely superior.
Maybe the gravichest is a bit faster flight with boost, but you can fly for a very long time on a single elite battery with MPS. Also, with a properly configured flight control (set to 0), flight characteristics are easily as good as the gravichest in my opinion. Can't speak for PvP, I do my best to avoid that.

Quantum suit is expensive, high but not invulnerable armor, and utterly worthless when you run out of power.
MPS is dirt cheap, even with TE or IC2 recipes, utterly invulnerable to all damage except some special mods, and is power positive such that you never will run out of power.
Oh, and you can literally bathe in lava.

Flying simply feels a lot better with MPS, creative flight or jetpacks are way too slow for me. As for the modules, I have everything I want on mine (and all the batteries I can before the weight limit) and it generates no heat at all. Are jetpacks even supposed to generate heat? I don't see anything about that in the config and they've never done that here.
I have a LP in the Community Showcase which disproves this pretty severely. Ghast hit me while bridging over lava. Didn't survive.

Currently I'm a big fan of the Quantum with the Gravi just because of the creative style flight. However, I am still playing on DW20 1.4.7 mod pack. Hearing that MPS has that type of flight now, I may give MPS another try once the 1.6.2 mod packs come out.
