Summary of the problem Quantum Storage Unit Lag

What is the bug? I have approximately 20 QSU placed in 2 rows, when I place 2 more rows of 8 the server lags up to 2 min for any action while in the vicinity. It does not effect the entire server. After breaking the new QSU blocks the area returns to normal.

I am having a similar problem in FTP Presents Hermitpack. Using QuantumStorage-1.10.2-3.2.12.jar, I encountered the bug, after a lot of trial and error deduced it was caused by the QuantumStorage units. I then tested and confirmed they were the cause by placing 48 of them down side by side in a chunk. Client-side lag in the vicinity. I'm not sure if it's just for the player that placed them, or for anybody around. It was fixed by removing the QSU blocks. Sadly, I do not have a log file.

Edit: I have not tested it, but based on gifs from QSU author's twitter, could this issue be caused by QSU's not having a transparent block (air or other) above them?
