Yo guys, right now busy with ic2 and actually additions. So simple question, on the end why do you try to generate power? In IC2 its just to repower your armor, and in actually additions its just to power up my drill? Is that actually it?

The intended endgame for IC2 is to generate UU-matter, this takes lots of power and the UU-matter machine can take all the power you can give it.
UU-matter can be converted into things like ores. Basically, this is IC2's version of a void mine, in a way.

Also, with enough speed upgrades IC2 machines have the potential to be the fastest ore processing machines in modded minecraft. But more speed upgrades take exponentially more power.

Alright, i can kinda see the goal for IC2, alltough it still looks like some sort of circle, building machines to make ores and use ores to build machines, but still i get it now. However do you have an idea what the purpose of Actually
Additions is? are you known with it?

AA was originally created as a core comfort mod to be used in place of things like EnderIO and the Thermal mods for general/base tech functions. An ore-doubling function, electric furnace, non-coal power, etc... There really isn't an "end game" for AA as it is meant to be an alternative backbone for a tech modpack. I believe it came out before EnderIO or Thermal for 1.8 or 1.10.

So it's an idea to add a mod like EnderIO when im ready for it, and then use that mod with AA as backbone or something?

AA is meant as a replacement for mods like Ender IO or Thermal Expansion, both of which can be seen as the backbone of a (technical) modpack. This was great when it came out, because both Thermal Expansion and Ender IO had not updated yet.

That's kinda weird don't u think so? AA has like literally no cables or anything, some essential things.
