Pure bee, what the heck am I doing wrong??

I built a pair of princesses with the exact same traits- one vis, one edenic. Only 4 possible drones that way: V-V, V-E, E-V and E-E, I figured if I ever saw a drone that didn't stack it must have pure in it. Then I bred up another princess and have been trying for dozens of generations to get it to mutate. I even finally broke down and built an alveary, put in 3 mutators armed with uranium and still not a single mutation after 4 more tries (yes, I've kept the mutators stocked).

What am I doing wrong? is 1400+ not a large enough pure node?

The alveary is the wood blocks in the ceiling

Knowing me, it's probably something simple stupid I'm missing, but I don't have a clue what could be the problem.

With 3 uranium mutators that would be 300% if I'm understanding how they work correctly.

Your bee house needs to be within 5 blocks of the node or some such really short distance. Move the alveary down so that it's pretty much right next to it.
