Pulverizer etc.

Hi, I play FTB Ultimate and have a question that perhaps could save some power. The machines like pulverizer, those that need a engine pumping in to it. Like the rolling machine. I'm using a Electric Engine and when everthing is done, like when all the ores have been pulverized, is there a way to stop the machine automatically?

I have a Lever connected to my Electric Engine thats connected to the Pulverizer. Can you tell the Engine to turn itself off when there is nothing to pulverize and to turn on when there is?

Cobblestone structure pipe + gate next to pulverizer with the condition "Items in invetory" -> "Redstone signal" and connect the redstone to the engine.
