Hello everyone,
I wanted to share our vision of this server with all of you, so that we can gather as much feedback, ideas and critique as possible. In advance, I want to thank you for your time.

The setting: Years of war have left Arcalus as one of the last cities on Earth where people can live a seemingly normal life. But after such a devastating war, which killed off most of the world's population, what is considered normal? To combat rising crime and civil unrest, the government of Arcalus installed a comprehensive surveillance system to monitor every action of it's citizens. Committing a crime, even a small one, may result in being exhiled from Arcalus and being branded an outlaw--forced to make your way on your own in the outlying wilderness commonly called the Depraved Lands. Obeying the government is a citizen's only priority. Failure to comply is not acceptable and will be corrected with extreme prejudice. All government actions and decisions are made for the good of the citizens. Citizens should not seek to understand the reason or motives behind government actions, because the DAd (Department of Administration) knows what is best for it's citizens.
The difference: We want to give the players a new way of experiencing freedom in Minecraft. We refrain from calling it a role play experience, but at some point it will be. You will have to make decisions. Decisions that will have an impact on the environment - like your friend, your neighbour or possibly even everyone on the server.
The features: Subject to change!
Also, we'd really like to know what you think about Project Arcalus. If you want to stay up to date on our project, please visit /r/Arcalus
Again, thank you very much for reading.

- Decide who you want to be: Try to make your life in Arcalus. Will you comply with the rules of the government or even become a part of it? Or will you go your own way and oppose the cities power?
- Make money: Found your own business, trade resources, gather with other bounty hunters and split the reward (or kill them and keep it all) or enlist in the Arcalus Security Defense Force (ASDF).
- Business: Run your own factory, hire other players, get rid of you competitors the way you choose.
- Crime: Espionage, theft, murder, sabotage, etc.
- Economy: Pay for municipal services (or don't and get your power cut off and try to generate power yourself), receive wages for your work, sell resources, kill people to collect the bounty on their head.
