Processing Shard???

I keep seeing this same line over and over in my log, and my frame rate seems to have dropped after updating to version 5 of the Direwolf20 mod pack. Coincidence? Somehow I don't think so. But how am I supposed to track anything down when I don't even know which mod is throwing this line into the log? If I had to guess, I'd blame Thaumcraft, but honestly I have no idea. Anyone else have a clue?

I noticed this the other day too. I was collecting Zombie Pigman souls in a soul shard at the time, so my guess was that it printed it every time the soul shard in my action bar was updated. Just as easily could be Thaumcraft though.

Guess that rules that out, then! I'd say just watch the log while you play and see if you notice a pattern. Not much else to do other than disable mods selectively until you figure out which is doing it by process of elimination.

I don't know if this has been fixed since, but I was having some frame rate issues in an older version of the Mindcrack mod pack (v<6), and disabling the Voxel mods seemed to help a lot. I don't know off the top of my head if the Direwolf20 pack includes them, but if it does, disabling them might be worth a try.

It happens everytime you kill a mob. it's the server checking to see if you have any soul shards and increasing their values as neccasary

Ah, that explains it. At the time, I was killing a lot of pigs. Thing was, the more I killed, the more seemed to spawn. Am I the only one who thinks that the spawn rates of the animals in the ExtraBiomesXL biomes are just a little bit crazy?
