Greetings forum!

The past few days I've been having ideas with biofuel power in my base and I think I have the general design complete. (Not my own design, took some ideas from forum posts and youtube videos. Sadly, I'm not to smart or well known in the mods.

What I need help from you guys, is actually what machines to use and how to set them up in my system.
Here's a couple of pictures of my current system

As you can see, fertelizer and saplings are thrown all over the place on the way from the barrel into the routers. If possible, i would like to use some kind of RP2 machines that calls on items, only when needed. Currently I use BC pipes and gates, but since the redwire signals only stop when machine is full, all the items that are flowing in the pipes when the router is full, will be flung all around.

Another thing: I saw this image, and tried to copy it, since it's so small and compact. But I don't understand the RP2 machines or the tesseract enough to make it. I've tried reading up on it, but somehow, I fail to grasp how to do it nicely =\

The rest of the system I can manage on my own. I kind of wanted to use apple juice, instead of water, and use the mulch from the squeezing process, but I can't get enough apples to sustain it.
I was also wondering if my current steve's farm setup is enough to supply the setup with a constant supply of saplings.

Any help in this matter is appreciated! If someone have ideas for me to improve upon, or changes that works way better than mine, please post here or send me a PM!

Yours sincerely,

change your gate conditionals to only emit when less than 50% resources/fuel. That way, there will be enough space in the machines to not overflow.

I've tried this, but this option is not available on a router.

Looks like he is using a relay between the tesseracts and the routers. the routers are gettings items from the relays and putting them into the fermemter. the tesseracts are dumping there items into the relays and wont overflow the relays.[DOUBLEPOST=1365277853][/DOUBLEPOST]Y
I've tried this, but this option is not available on a router.

You can put a structure pipe on the fermemters and a gate on those and those gates will read from the fermenters so you can use that option. you would have to put a redstone or pipe wire signal to the artarcic gate thats pulling the items tho. Like the gate on the fermenter set to emit pipe wire when theres less then blah blah resources and then the gate that pulls the item set to energy pulse when it gets a pipe signal

Use hoppers.

Put a hopper on top of the router. have the pipes going into the hopper with a gate on it. Set the gate on the hopper to emit a red pipe wire signal when the hopper is empty.

Although since you have relays, there's no need for the pipes or gates at all. Just put the relay directly next to the router. You can rotate the relay so it empties into the router by using a RP2 screwdriver on it.

That was my first thoughts (connecting directly to the routers I mean). but I don't know how to connect it into the other end. As you can see on a picture, I'm using a filter to get stuff from the cargo manager, but if I don't use a relay, it' won't send out the items. if i use a relay, it pumps into the tesseract (but only one stack), but the other one won't receive it. My problem is that I don't understand how these things work or interact with each other. The more I try to read up on it, the more confused I get. I must be doing something seriously wrong >_<

Hmm, interesting. I think what is happening is that you need a seperate tesseract channel for saplings and fertilizer. Try putting a filter under each barrel that feeds into a relay that feeds into each input tesseract. That should let you put output tesseracts directly next to each relay like in the picture you are copying from.

Here's what it would look like.

Or, you could do the hopper thing like I said earlier that will stop your leakage problem but keep your currently non-compact design.
