Problems with Automated Apiaries

Hi everyone, I've got a system for automating my bees with a chest at the end for extras, but for some reason the princesses keep passing empty apiaries and ending up in the chest at the end of the line. I was hoping someone could tell me why this is happening and potentially fixing my problem.

Here are some pictures of my setup.

The bees go up from the diamond pipe and other stuff continues straight into a chest.

Those stone pipes will route items randomly at any junctions. You need diamond or (preferably) apiarist pipes.

As of 1.5.1, Insertion pipes from TE would also work.

In general, you'd do a lot better putting back in the same apiary you pulled out of, and only sending the items and excess drones on. This cuts down on delay between generations, and allows you to use different breeds

This is an old pic, dated Feb 02, that I've posted here before but still works well. This one shows two apiaries, but can be cut in half. Red and blue are "Any bees" while yellow is "any item"

(Note the difference in the iron pipe from current 1.5.1 behavior. The output is to the top, toward the apiarist pipe)
